In April 2009, I started a jazz trio in Yellowknife and acquired this domain name as part of an epic ad campaign. Around the same time, I checked out the Yardbird Suite while down in Edmonton with my music teacher on a band trip.
And I loved it. So when I moved to Edmonton to attend university, I started volunteering with the Yardbird; I decided to start this blog about the different acts that pass through Canada's premiere jazz establishment.
